When and why have you stopped card payments at Dubai Bank branches?
As of 5 August 2007, Dubai Bank branches stopped accepting payments for Dubai First Credit Cards; both over the counter and through Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs). Since Dubai Bank has become a wholly Islamic institution, under the Sharia Law they can no longer support our credit card related requirements.

I am used to making my payments though Dubai Bank CDMs. How do I make my payments now?
Although Dubai First has only one branch, we offer our customers over 130 convenient payment locations. We have tie-ups with different exchange branches such as Al Ansari Exchange (50 branches) and UAE Exchange (43 branches) in which you can make your Dubai First Credit Card payment at any of their locations across the UAE. In addition we have recently tied-up with selected Enoc/Eppco petrol stations (39 selected sites in Dubai, Sharjah, RAK and Fujairah).

Will the existing payment locations continue?
Al Ansari Exchange and UAE Exchange will continue. Dubai Bank branches and Emarat petrol stations will not

Can I open an account with Dubai Bank to facilitate a Standing Instruction?
No; the standing instruction facility will only be available to existing Dubai First Credit Card holders who have previously requested it.

Is Dubai First totally separate now from Dubai Bank?
Dubai Bank and Dubai First are part of the same powerful and secure Dubai Holding Group and come under the same umbrella company. However Dubai Bank and Dubai First will now function as independent entities.

I am not sure which payment centre is convenient for me. What do you suggest?

My due date is in another two days. How do I ensure no penalty charges are levied?
As long as you make your payment at least two working days before the due date, no penalty changes will apply to your card.

I am traveling from tonight for one month. How do I make my payment?
We suggest you get a family member or friend to make the payment while you are away with your cheque or cash on your behalf.

I like paying by cheque. How do I do this?
Simply mail your cheque to; Dubai First, P.O Box 111656, Dubai, UAE; or use the prepaid envelope that comes with your statement.

I have an account with Citibank. Can I transfer my funds from there?
Yes; by SWIFT Transfer:

I have come to give the security cheque for my DF credit card. Can some one help me in sending it to the concerned person?
All security cheques need to be paid to the Dubai First branch directly; 22nd floor, Burjuman Towers, Dubai, UAE.

When I make my payment through the locations you have specified, what guarantee is there the payment is actually made? How does it work?

Any payment you make at a specified location is secure and will be credited to your account within two working days.

How long does it take for the payment to get credited to my card if I pay through the locations specified?
Within two working days.

Now that you have your branch at 22nd Floor, Burjuman Towers, can I make my payments there?
Not at the moment; however if it’s an urgent request, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
